'An artist who approaches painting like a printmaker ' Gillian Duke, Director CCA Galleries Publishers.

"Looking at Dan's work is like meeting old friends to me.It looks as though at some point in our careers we used the same casting agency.I am flattered that Dan writes that he is influenced by my work.I have really enjoyed his work"

Sir Peter Blake.

"Through multiple stages of reworking & layering each canvas becomes taut & explosive.Mimicking punk, acid trips & pop art,at first glance we prepare ourselves for a full rush of anarchistic free-play.What we in fact get is something much more nuanced, restrained & poetic- the rush is contained.'

Ben Cranfield

"The relationship that has been observed between Baldwin & the still life painters of seventeen century Holland stems from his use of such symbols of life, death & mortality as the flower, the skull, the bird & rotting fruit.Baldwin re-contextualises these symbols, however making them relevant for modern audiences.

Elisa Carmichael, owner Carmichael Gallery Los Angeles.

'Enid Blyton meets the four horses of the Apocalypse ' Dan Hipkin, Ink-d Gallery Brighton

"Thats what I liked about your work when we first met.I Liked the fact that you shot holes in it and werent precious about the process. Its so important in printmaking to be bold, take a leap & get stuck in."
