Created for Dan's Fragmented Landscapes solo exhibition at 45 Park Lane, London, Happiness in Solitude captures the energy of the exhibition in one of its most vibrant and uplifting works.
Layers of saturated pink, electric blue, yellow and soft painterly washes collide with hand-drawn botanical forms, fragmented marks and recurring symbols. There is a looseness and spontaneity to the piece, but also a sense of calm beneath the surface — a work that reveals new details the longer you live with it.
Produced as an archival pigment print on heavyweight Somerset Satin 330gsm paper, the edition is finished with silkscreen UV varnish, adding subtle changes in surface, depth and light that give the print a physical presence beyond a conventional giclée.
With only 25 editions produced, Happiness in Solitude is an exceptionally small release connected directly to the Fragmented Landscapes exhibition.
